Evaluation of the Coalfields Regeneration Trust's 'Skillsbuilder'
  This project evaluates and suggests ways forward for the CRT funded SKILLSbuilder. SKILLSbuilder represents an important initiative in assisting people formerly employed in mining-related occupations to develop and formalise skills, and progress towards sustainable employment in sectors such as engineering and construction. The immediate outputs reported for SKILLSbuilder appeared positive. However, was important that the programme be subject to rigorous evaluation, in order to better understand the context for its success, the benefits for trainees and employers (and the sustainability of positive outcomes), and the critical success factors that contributed to the effectiveness of SKILLSbuilder.
