Biography

Dr. Anitha Karthik is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Net Zero High-Density Buildings, contributing to sustainable urban infrastructure and climate resilience. She holds a PhD in Disaster Management and Sustainable Development, where she focused on transformational infrastructure, disaster adaptation, and sustainable strategies.

She previously worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh on the UKCRIC Consortium (EPSRC-funded) mission project, collaborating with 18 partnered universities to address climate adaptation, disaster management, and resilient infrastructure for communities.

Dr. Karthik also holds an MSc in International Business from the University of Dundee and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). She has extensive experience in business development, specializing in oil and gas subcontracting and Environmental Impact Assessment across the MENA region.

With expertise in stakeholder engagement and applied research, she is committed to bridging knowledge and practice in the built environment, supporting skill development and sustainability strategies.
