Biography

I am a leader in Global Health Policy and Practice impacting international health through transnational education, research informing policy, and collaborative leadership in resource-limited settings. I have led projects in baseline assessments, monitoring and evaluation of infectious diseases (including HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, COVID-19, and Sexually transmitted infections) and health interventions (including sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), sexual and gender-based violence, health nutrition, and substance abuse) among various populations groups (adolescents,, young people, vulnerable adults, and key populations). I have a strong background in providing technical assistance to the Health Ministry, National AIDS Commission, Civil Âé¶¹ÉçÇø and consultancy support to international health organisations including the World Health Organisation, the United Nations Fund for Population Activities, Elizabeth Glaser Paediatric AIDS Foundation, the Global Fund and JHPIEGO. My research interests are health promotion, baseline assessments, implementation of interventions, monitoring and evaluation, and health services quality to improve health outcomes among vulnerable groups globally.

My academic practice includes 17 years of expertise in health professions education, continuous professional development, and research supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels of study. I led an academic department and taught various courses offered in full-time, part-time, and distance and online learning modes. I have been an external examiner for the Master of Public Health programme. My strengths include programme design, process implementation, curriculum design and development, and quality assurance and evaluation.
