About the Event
Âé¶¹ÉçÇø is pleased to host a Knowledge Exchange event ‘Learning from the Scottish Physical Activity Referral Standards rollout to inform and enhance practice’ on Tuesday 22 October 2024.

What are the Physical Activity Referral Standards?
Physical activity referral schemes (PARS) exist across Scotland and to help increase understanding of what works best to help participants increase physical activity, Public Health Scotland have published . Our Chief Scientist Office (CSO) funded project ‘Assessing the implementation of the Public Health Scotland Physical Activity Referral Standards: A process evaluation’ is currently looking at the implementation of these standards.
Purpose of the event
This in-person event will disseminate research findings, share best practice and support providers to improve delivery, monitoring and evaluation. It will allow stakeholders to learn from each other’s experiences. The event will involve stakeholders at local, regional, and national level to showcase successful initiatives and discuss future actions to help improve PARS.
Structure of the event
The event will consist of sessions featuring presentations and interactive workshops with a focus on takeaway messages and actions that will help to shape future implementation and research in this area. Programme to be added in due course.
Who should attend?
This event may be of interest to physical activity referral providers, physical activity policymakers and stakeholders, academics, third sector and healthcare professionals with interest in increasing population physical activity levels. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with other like-minded individuals and organisations, with scope to collaborate, share resources and support one another in successfully promoting PARS.
